Continental have just launched their latest high performance tyre, the SportContact 7, which will initially be available in sizes from 19 to 23 inches, although more options will be added to the range later this year.
The emphasis with this tyre is on handling and grip although longevity is also up over the outgoing generation. Wet braking is reduced by 8%, dry braking by 6% and the service life is increased by 17%.
An adaptive tread design adjusts to both dry and wet roads and the tyre uses the latest Black Chili rubber compound to maximise grip in all situations.
The tyre was specifically developed for high performance cars including the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Audi RS and BMW M cars as well as the Ford Focus RS and Mini Cooper S.
